What we collect, what we don't, and what you can do about it.

Plain-English version: we keep what we need to make recipes useful and shareable. Everything else, we don't touch.

What we don't collect

Visibility you control

Every recipe and memory has one of three visibilities. You pick when you write it and you can change it later.

Private
Only you
Drafts, things you haven't decided to share.
Family
Members of the family or group
The default. Nobody outside the group can see it, including search engines.
Public
Anyone with the link
Indexed in /explore. Search engines may surface it. You can revoke any time.

Cookies

We use one first-party cookie (handle) to remember which user you're signed in as. It contains the handle string, nothing else. Clearing it signs you out.

Children

Kids appear in feeds because families add them as members. A child's account is created and managed by an adult in the family. We don't market to children, ever.
